Mobility- we all appreciate being able to move fluidly- all week whether at work or at the gym, we are working our body- often to the max. Mobility work allows us to perform maintenance on ourselves to help boost our body's athletic performance, resolve pain, and prevent injury.
Mobility Mondays with Coach Fonseca allow us to understand how to resolve our own inefficiencies simply by incorporating rolling, stretching, and pressure to our tight muscles. Mobility Mondays also focus on the proper form when performing basic movements to avoid straining or injuring ourselves in the process of exercising.
We, at Triumph Fitness, strive on our sweat and push ourselves beyond our limits everyday. When we walk through the door and are approached by a new WOD that is purely mobility- we need to understand why Coach Fonseca incorporated this particular day into our routine.
So, why are Mobility Mondays important for you as Triumph Fitness member? Well, think about the lack of movement you are aware you have- now think about how much you actually understand about the way your body and muscles work together. How many parts of your body are you unaware may be affecting the rest of your body? When we feel pain, we can target the painful area. However, what Coach Fonseca is teaching us is that pain often stems from other areas of tightness or weakness away from the area of pain. Mobility Mondays- we get to work towards understanding and fixing that. Mobility allows us to be healthier- it prevents injury, increases athletic performance, and resolves pain. Win! Prioritize your health- we think you will find a lot of value in Mobility Mondays.
