Fast weightloss- does it exist? Well, yes- it does. There are many diets that have been sold in the past and currently are being sold in our market today. A MILLION DOLLARS A DAY is spent on weightloss products- safe or unsafe, effective or uneffective. One million dollars. It is a HUGE industry. Many people have attempted or are currently attempting these diets are finding they are getting results quickly- Loosing DRASTIC amounts of weight in a matter of one week but not without long term consequences.
So, The Triumph Kitchen is here in hope to help educate our readers and members. We hope that in reading the following article, we help eliminate some past and current diets that may end up causing more harm- then helping. We hope that it starts conversation and the urge to educate and learn the facts about changing lifestyles rather than just searching for the magic pill.
The first concern in fast weightloss is actually rather simple. When we suddenly begin a diet and start a moderate exercise routine, our body quickly adjusts to this drastic change. However, with these extraordinary efforts- they often cannot be MAINTAINED without a change of lifestyle- so all the FAT & WATER WEIGHT comes back with a VENGEANCE. In addition, your metabolism has been messed with (for some- once again), and we find that each time we attempt the new fad diet, we struggle more and more to lose weight. It becomes that "stubborn fat" but in reality it comes from trying the newest the fad diet we attempted to help aid in fast weightloss and the lifestyle we refuse to change..
The average recommendation for HEALTHY weightloss is 1 to 2 pounds a week. Although that amount of weight seems rather slow paced- if done correctly and safely, it is EASIER to MAINTAIN in keeping the weight off over long periods of time. In addition, when we lose drastic amounts of weight FAST- we tend to lose water weight and lean tissue rather than fat because it is harder to burn fat that quickly in short amounts of time.
In addition, to the diets that claim you can lose weight without exercising more than 1 to 2 days a week- they are ROBBING you of gains. Not only fat loss but TONING and STRENGTH gains. You can look skinny but still have a high body fat percentage- we call this "skinny fat." In addition- reflect of the BENEFITS of exercise on your overall HEALTH. Maybe you don't like to sweat- but do you want:
1. Lower Blood Pressure
2. Lower Risk of Heart Disease, stroke, diabetes, depression, cancer, arthritis...
3. Improved Mood
4. Higher Energy
5. Better Sleep
6. Improved Sex Life
Exercise has incredible benefits on the body in itself. When paired with clean eating- benefits can be maximized but a particular fad diet that claims you do not need much exercise is promoting programming that robs you of known benefits- just to entice you with their products. It is called marketing my friends! "Magic pills", convenient pre-packaged food, no exercise- who does that not appeal to in our current stressed, busy and obese society?
So, what happens when you stop paying or stop using the products that you purchased to help you get the fast weightloss you wanted? You yo-yo!
So, our suggestion (plead) is to EDUCATE yourself before you jump on the bandwagon. Make an educated decision on what is best for you and your LONG TERM health.
